About the event
ANNAPURNA BASE CAMP TREK - 16 Days
The Annapurna Base Camp Trek is a beautiful and challenging journey through the Annapurna region of Nepal. Located in the western part of the country, the Annapurna region is home to some of the highest and most beautiful mountains in the world, including Annapurna South, Annapurna I, and Annapurna III.
The trek to Annapurna Base Camp will begin in Pokhara, a lakeside town that serves as the gateway to the Annapurna region. From there, you'll follow a well-marked trail through stunning landscapes, including terraced rice paddies, subtropical forests, and high-altitude plateaus. Along the way, you'll have the opportunity to visit local villages and meet the friendly Gurung people, who have lived in the region for centuries.
As you make your way towards the base camp, you'll pass through the Modi Khola Valley, home to a number of small villages and waterfalls. You'll also have the chance to visit the sacred hot springs at Jhinu Danda, which are believed to have healing properties.
The final stretch of the trek takes you through the Modi Khola Gorge, a narrow and steep valley that leads to the base camp. Located at an altitude of 4,130 meters (13,550 feet), the base camp offers stunning views of the surrounding peaks, including Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, Gangapurna, and Fishtail.
The Annapurna Base Camp Trek is a physically demanding journey, but the reward is worth it. The views of the surrounding mountains are truly breathtaking and will stay with you for a lifetime.
